PULLMAN — Twenty-one fans were arrested and a number of fans were injured Saturday at the Apple Cup football game between Washington and Washington State, WSU Police Department Lt. Steven Hansen said Monday.
Devin Ford, 20, of Snohomish was charged with third-degree assault on a law officer, a felony, for allegedly spitting on Whitman County Deputy Jim Pelissier.
Ford, a Washington student, was released from Whitman County Jail in Colfax on his own recognizance Monday night. Ford also was charged with resisting arrest and being intoxicated as a minor.
