Art Wynant and Mike Sotak have seen a lot of sunrises since Dec. 7, 1941.
But none quite like that sunny Sunday morning 69 years ago Tuesday.
It was on that morning, which turned black with smoke, that Wynant, 89, of Redding and Sotak, 88, of Happy Valley became blood brothers after finding themselves in the middle of the deadly Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor that swept the U.S. into World War II.

Top 5 quotes from 'Glee's' 'A Very Glee Christmas' episode

"A Very Glee Christmas" was, in fact, just that.
It didn't redefine the Christmas TV special. It didn't revive the Andy Williams or other 1970s-era Christmas specials.
It wasn't even original.
But it was typical "Glee." And it was very good.
Sue Sylvester returned as the perfect Grinch, right down to the green face paint. (And her naive sidekick, Becky, made a perfect "rein-dog.") A large part of episode was spent re-telling the Dr. Seuss Christmas classic. But it did so as good as — or even better than — the original.

Late in the 2003 season, Ron Santo stood in front of one of the hundreds - thousands? - of standing, ovating crowds to chant his name at Wrigley Field.

For those of you who have not already heard, I am sorry to report to you that Charlie Rangel has been censured by the House of Representatives. I know, it's truly heart breaking. If you need to take a minute to cry, I understand.

What does this mean? Well, nothing. I have no desire to get into a discussion about whether or not this should have happened, because quite honestly, I do not care. What I wish to convey today is this: the censure process is in desperate need of reform.
